Would You Ever Consider Becoming An Expatriate?

It is better to go TO an , rather than a problem. I am an expat (Canadian ), but I live in because of what is here for me–not because I cannot live a happy and full life in my own country.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Canada and it is a very nice country. I feel amost more at home there than I do here. During the Vietnam War, the Canadian government welcomed young American boys who wanted to escape the draft. When President Nixon was elected for a second term in 1972, I really seriously considered it. I felt this country was going down the tubes. In retrospect, in a way I was right. But perhaps Bush’s second term has hurt the country more than Nixon’s second term.

why not…If you are an American, the ability to go ANY WHERE in the world is limitless…speaking of power here.
Aside from that,if you not US-friendly then i would take that passport to go some where you can call home. Just remembered that you where you are coming from. There are already enough Americans left the country to Canada or to Europe or Asia to work and live. I ran into some one said she doesnt want to be here much, after living in Europe for a while.
America is not in the 1700-1800 or 1900 any more.

No, because, although I believe our current government policy is flawed, I still believe the fundamental principles of our government are still the greatest this world has ever seen!

Well, any place you live needs constant attention and work, so there is no real point to leaving my home (I’m rather fond of it anyways). Would I consider it? Sure.

NO, I think I would rather die in defense of what I feel is right for this country.
You can run but you cannot hide from what ails the USA at this point.

No. I like the USA too much to want to leave even though I disagree with our current government right now.
